Events for the period of mourning

As we mourn the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we will join with people across the world marking the life of the Queen, giving thanks for her life, mourning her passing and rejoicing at her coming home to the Lord.
 

Saturday 10th September


10am - 6pm. St Guthlac's Church, Passenham

The Ride and Stride event is to go ahead, meaning will be open for prayer between these times.

3:00pm Holy Trinity Church, Deanshanger

By the gates, The Royal Proclamation of Accession will be read out by Rod Rodrigo, on behalf of Deanshanger Parish Council. Rev. James Pennington will be representing the Church of England, and offering a prayer and a welcome. 

15:00 - 17:00 The church will be open for prayer.

Sunday 11th September


9am. St Guthlac's, Passenham
A service staying with the planned theme of testimony and thanksgiving but with a particular focus on the life of the Queen and prayers for the new King.

11:00am Holy Trinity, Deanshanger
A revised service of personal testimony and thanksgiving will go ahead as planned, with an added dimension of reflecting on the Queen's great life, and our prayers for the new King.


Sunday 18th September

11am Holy Trinity, Deanshanger 

A public and civic service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for the Life of Queen Elizabeth II. 

 

Across the Period of Mourning

 

Holy Trinity Church, Deanshanger will be open from 3pm to 5pm for private prayer from Sunday 11th to Sunday 18th September.

A Book of Condolence will be open for you to write your personal message, at Old Stratford Memorial Hall, all next week between 10-11am and 6-7pm.

Also at Deanshanger Community Centre at the following times: 
Friday (9th): 2-6pm.
Saturday: 12 noon - 6pm.
Monday to Friday: 10am - 1pm.
